This weekend we mostly recovered services after we were faced with with a failing hardware raid-controller causing problems reading the content of the server which served the git and svn repositories.
Though we were able to restore services to our contributors as fast as possible by moving it to another server, we still had to redo parts of our internal scripts. While that was already planned for later this year, we now pulled it forward and done most of it this weekend.
One of the changes is that we automated the key syncing process. This means that as soon as a contributor uploads a new ssh key on identity.kde.org, the keys immediately get synchronised to the git and svn servers.
In the past people had to file a ticket or ask in the #kde-sysadmin irc channel to get the keys synchronised, but that is no longer needed, as soon as you make the changes at identity.kde.org, the keys will be synchronise automatically.
